Reconciliation would have been more than enough.
We who were far away have been brought near. The door that was closed has been opened. You who could not tolerate us can now bring us in because we've been washed clean of our sin. That would have been more than enough.
But You love us so much that you want more. You want to know us and want us to know You intimately. You desire relationship. You invite us to walk with You.
We deserve death and shame, but You don't just make us tolerable. You cover us with robes of righteousness. You make us holy, faultless, blameless, and pure.
I am worthy by the blood of the Lamb. That's amazing grace.
